Dynamic Sign Systems: Enhancing Usability Through Context-Aware Interfaces This thesis explores the design and evaluation of Dynamic Sign Systems (adaptive signifiers) in digital interfaces. Through the comparative design of CoWork, a web-based task management system, this project demonstrated that context-aware visual cues significantly enhance novice user confidence and task performance while providing a systematic framework for designers to implement adaptive guidance without causing cognitive overload.
